Ever wonder how to create a blog like this?  Manage your church’s website?  Or grow your social media presence?

Then the Digital Discipleship Bootcamp (DDBC) may be for you.  This Bootcamp is run by Sister Caroline Cerveny.  I’ve never attended this bootcamp but have seen Sister Caroline present before.  If you’re looking to get started in the Digital Continent that is the Internet, then this session could be for you.

Here’s a quote from one of the past attendees, Mary Amore:

I could have never created this wonderful online project without the knowledge that I learned through attending Digital Discipleship Boot Camp.  This technology class, which is taught completely online, uses webinars to teach a wide variety of online tools for use in ministry.  The pace of the webinars was spaced over the course of three months, with generous time in between sessions to do the assigned homework.

What I really liked about DDBC is that every student is assigned a teacher/mentor who is there to walk you through any problems or obstacles.  My coach and I became best buddies on the phone as I struggled with certain techniques, and/or class assignments. She was patient, and answered all of my questions. The teachers are all so wonderful and knowledgeable, and they are readily accessible after the webinars, and in between sessions.

Past participants have included Parish Directors of Faith Formation, Bereavement Ministers, Youth and Young Adult Ministers, Deacons, Pastoral Associates for RCIA and Adult Education, Catechists, High School Religion Teachers, and Diocesan Directors of Evangelization and Catechesis, Media Resource Directors, New Media Outreach, and Associate Directors of the Lay Ministry Training Program.
