I am pleased to announce that the judges have finished scoring the finalists, and we have our top three winners of the 2013 Catholic Parish Website of the Year contest! Each of our winners will receive a plaque for their parish office, and the first place winner will receive a $500.00 donation from Liturgical Publications Inc. A very special thanks to our judge’s panel, this was no easy task, and we appreciate their time and expertise. This year’s winners are:
Immaculate Heart of Mary, Cincinnati, OH
This is a fantastic example of an engaging parish website. Visitors and parishioners are welcomed by a beautiful design that incorporates their branding and logo. The site is easy to navigate and full of relevant and informative content for their community. Also, take a look at their Facebook page, you can see they have a very active online ministry!
Their site was developed and designed by Mark Buelsing (Letitshine.biz), using Dot Net Nuke. The content is managed by Lisa Taylor.
St. Thomas More, Sarasota, FL
Right away you’ll notice the website’s layout and clean graphics make it extremely easy to navigate. The personable imagery is welcoming to both visitors and parishioners, and the home page has a call out for visitors to sign up for their eNewsletter and bulletin—great idea!
The website was designed by Solutio, and its content is updated by Tom Lelyo.
St. Gabriel the Archangel, St. Gabriel, LA
Custom graphics, an award-winning video tour of the parish, beautiful photography, and community-oriented content are just a few of the reasons this site is in our top 3 websites.
Chad Babin, responsible for design and maintenance of the site, used HTML, PHP and CSS to build the site.
We’d like to thank everyone who submitted an entry into this year’s contest, as well as all church website administrators, developers, and designers for your hard work and dedication to bringing the Gospel to the digital world. Congratulations to our winners and we will be in touch with you soon!
