Catholic Video of the Week

video_ofthe_weekNew to Catholic Tech Talk, we’ll be featuring an educational, inspirational, or entertaining Catholic video each week! You can find the “Video of the Week” graphic on the right-hand menu. Click the link for our first featured video, which comes from Spirit Juice Studios, “Lent with Fr. Pontifex – Prayer.”

“If Jesus had to pray, then we know that prayer is vital for us. We have to spend time talking to God in order to know what it is we’re supposed to do.”

I’ll be sure to tweet each week when a new video is posted, so follow us on Twitter and stay tuned!

Here’s a recommendation for a video. It’s for the Annual Catholic Appeal, and one of the best I’ve seen. http://youtu.be/nf_5oo63fU8

It starts with a beautiful passage from St Augustine, with beautiful images and music from around the diocese.

Then it connects the beauty of God and our worships to actions, specifically, the corporal and spiritual acts of mercy.

It connects those actions, not only with images from around the diocese of these actions being carried out, but also with a bar chart showing how money is spent on these things.

It finishes up with a particular success of the parish – in fostering vocations to the priesthood.

And at the end, is the call to action, with a url where people can make donations on-line.
